Meta Invests $14.3 B in Scale AI and Recruits Founder Alexandr Wang to Lead Superintelligence Team
Meta has acquired a 49% stake (~$14.3 B) in Scale AI—valued at $29 B—and brought its 28-year-old CEO, Alexandr Wang, onboard to lead a new “superintelligence” research team while he remains on Scale’s board. Wang, an MIT dropout who built Scale into a top data-labeling provider for AI giants, will drive Meta's push into advanced AI. Jason Droege will serve as interim CEO of Scale.
